Updated: Aug 18, 2020

We were very glad to mark the Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse, celebrated throughout the world on June 24, with a conversation about harnessing the power of the internet for essential causes with cultural promoter and communication specialist ANDREEA TĂNĂSESCU, the founder of the phenomenal La Blouse Roumaine movement, one of Romania’s most impactful nation-branding campaigns in recent memory.

ANDREEA TĂNĂSESCU is the creator of La Blouse Roumaine movement and community, the initiator of the Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse, Brâncuși Week and Cultural Fashion Day, and the President of La Blouse Roumaine IA Association, a non-governmental organization that promotes the preservation of the Romanian textile heritage and the development of cultural and sustainable fashion worldwide. In 2017 Andreea started a new movement, Give Credit, devoted to the promotion of culturally responsible design. She is currently preparing the launching of La Blouse Roumaine magazine and platform. Andreea studied Law and Public Relations and has been involved in the fashion, media and film industry for more than 20 years.
