"It's hard for me to talk about a play I wrote: I always have the feeling that everything I had to say on the subject I already said through my characters in the play itself. “Slices” is a chain of stories, an intersection of destinies which all revolve around a man whose death sets the story in motion. Slices, that is, less than pieces and more than crumbs.
You don't have to eat the whole cake to figure out how it tastes. A slice is exactly what you need, to satisfy your craving but not get tired of it. Slices of life, slices of love, slices of crisis, slices of sadness, hilarious slices, slices. And when a chameleon-like Ofelia Popii unleashes herself in so many slices, the show can rightly be called Ofelii. I couldn’t have hoped for a luckier destiny for a play of mine”. LIA BUGNAR
The fall season of the RCI Digital Stage is offered in partnership with The ”Radu Stanca” National Theater of Sibiu, Bucharest Cultural Center ARCUB, The Hungarian State Theater of Cluj-Napoca, The ”Luceafărul” Children and Youth Theater of Iași, and The National Theater of Târgu-Mureș.
