About The Event

The week’s recital on the virtual stage of our Enescu Soirees is put on by one of the most accomplished Romanian classical musicians, a graduate of the famous and famously impenetrable Juilliard, REMUS AZOIȚEI. From London, the violin maestro sends his regards to New York City and North America through a highly polished rendition of Bach’s "mighty Chaconne", to use his own words.

Violinist REMUS AZOIȚEI is hailed in the international press as "a subtle and sensitive violinist" (The Strad) with a "sparkling technique" (The Washington Post). Based in London, he has performed in internationally-recognised venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Konzerthaus Berlin, Bozar in Bruxelles, Kennedy Centre in Washington D.C., Salle Gaveau in Paris and Wigmore Hall in London, to name a few.
