About The Event
We are joining forces again with the indefatigable team of American Romanian Cultural Society for the 2018 anniversary edition of the Romanian Film Festival in Seattle, one of the most impactful Romanian showcases in North America. The multifaceted event will take place at the iconic SIFF Cinema Uptown between 2-4 November.
In tune with the Halloween spirit of the entire week, the Seattleites are invited to the take an imaginary journey to Romania and its “Uncanny Worlds”through a series of feature films, documentaries, exhibitions & talks questioning the unusual and often disturbing aspects of reality, history, politics, and everyday life.
The festival’s special guests include, along with international film star and thespian Maia Morgenstern, helmers Daniel Sandu, Andrei Dăscălescu, Elena Beucă and Bogdan Darev, actress Iulia Paula Niculescu, and painter and illustrator Daniel Ursache.
