About The Event
Today Romanians are celebrating a special day dedicated to love, known as Dragobete, our counterpart of Valentine’s Day. The message carried by the light installation „MI-E DOR DE TINE"/ "I MISS YOU”, which opened at The Wharf in Washington, D.C. on February 14, gets a proper reply from Romania as a sister installation, which reads „ŞI MIE"/ "ME TOO”, has been lit in the heart of Sibiu, giving life to a transatlantic dialogue full of longing and love. While in Sibiu „ŞI MIE"/ "ME TOO” installation is placed on the Bridge of Lies, one of the city’s most important tourist attractions, nothing is more authentic than this luminous bridge of emotions that brings people together despite geographical distances.

The project, created by the Daisler Association in Cluj-Napoca and made possible through a generous donation from CEC Bank, was brought to the US capital with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York, the Romanian Embassy to the United States, and Romanian at Heart.
