Join us to celebrate the courage and passion of the generation that 30 years ago brought down the communist dictatorship in Romania ushering a time of tremendous political and economic development in the company of academic and activist Irena Grudzińska Gross (Princeton University), scholar and editor Anca Pușca (Palgrave Macmillan), and academic and Orthodox priest, Father Theodor Damian (Metropolitan College of New York).
The conversation, tackling the momentous and tragic upheaval of 1989 from a comparative and transatlantic perspective, will accompany the opening of the striking exhibition & film ”Rebels with a Cause. The Unknown Heroes of Romanian Revolution” by Romanian-German artist Dobrivoie Kerpenisan. With the director/photographer in person.
