Ivan Gallery Presents Great Form Innovator Paul Neagu at Independent Art Fair New York

With support from RCI New York, Ivan Gallery returns to the Independent Art Fair New York, the fall 2022 edition, which features 70 artists represented by 32 international galleries and aims to set in motion conversations between artistic approaches of the 20th century and contemporary practices. The Bucharest-based gallery will showcase works by Romanian-British modernist maverick Paul Neagu (1938-2004), whose holistic artistic explorations covered a plurality of media and disciplines and over time grew into a truly unique artistic system anchored by signature concepts. 

Some of Neagu's most recognizable works, like "Altar Making" (1965-67), "Safe (Interior - Exterior)" (1968), "Cake Man Eve" (1971), "Going Tornado" (1974) or the "Anthropocosmos" series (1981), reveal a profound artistic thinker and radical innovator whose complex and universal ideas constitute a rich legacy that continues to inspire contemporary aesthetic reflections and practices.
