About The Event
This week's recital at the Enescu Soirees features Romanian-American Silvan Negruțiu, praised by the Romanian musical press as “a startling and authentic pianist displaying rich imagination and brilliant vigor." The accomplished musician will offer a program of Romanian music, consisting of works by the inimitable George Enescu as well as by Constantin Silvestri, a famous conductor in the 1950s with an absorbing oeuvre that is yet to be discovered. The recital is dedicated to two important celebrations: 140 years of diplomatic relations between Romania and the United States and the upcoming National Day of Romania.
