A decade-long wait is over: after 35 years, the famous Madrigal Choir, Romania’s most internationally recognized musical ensemble, returns to the United States for an anniversary tour celebrating the National Day of Romania with special recitals in New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Seattle. The much-awaited comeback of one of the world's great choral ensembles will display all the Madrigal’s artistic prowess, evident in the expansive repertoire, the impeccable musical quality, and the spectacular stage presence. Anticipating the magic of winter festivities, the recitals will offer a carefully-crafted program, featuring Renaissance music, Romanian and international carols, and timeless choral compositions.
Madrigal Choir’s American tour is organized by the Romanian Embassy to the U.S. together with the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York and with the generous support of the Romanian Ministry of Culture and several sponsors from Romania: Transylvania Bank, Vodafone, ING, UiPath, and Fan Courier.
All events are free but in almost all cases registration is required. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
