About The Event

With this week’s episode, the “Contemporary Romanian Art Scene in 8 Gallery Tours” series, which for months has presented some of Romania’s best exhibition spaces, curators and artists, will run as part of our brand-new program devoted to visual arts. Called “Art Fridays”, it will broaden the scope of your journey by illuminating all corners of Romanian visual creativity and inviting you to engage, no matter where you are. Start now the exploration of the most influential Romanian galleries, enjoy the hottest exhibitions all over the country, learn about recent works by first-rate artists and let yourselves be guided and transformed by the works artists create in response to the world we live in.

#SUPRAINFINIT

Founded in September 2015 by Suzana Vasilescu, SUPRAINFINIT Gallery develops a fluid program that highlights Romanian and international emerging and mid-career artists. It heralds the name of a plural and utopian universe created by artist collective Apparatus 22. By recently expanding its curatorial framework with SEQUENCE (a vitrine project) and SALTMINE (a temporary exhibition & performance platform located underneath the main exhibiting space), the gallery seeks to engage in a multilayered approach to artistic contexts and contents. After producing several exhibitions in its initial space and followed by a nomad experience in chaotic and ever fascinating Bucharest, SUPRAINFINIT has recently moved to its new and permanent location. The gallery’s current co-director is independent curator Cristina Vasilescu.

Don’t miss the premiere on our Facebook, IGTV and YouTube on October 30 at 2 p.m. New York & Toronto time / 11 a.m. Los Angeles & Vancouver time / 9 p.m. Bucharest time. Watch also on our website and other social media accounts anytime later.
