About The Event
The fall season of our online series "The History of Romania in One Object", created in partnership with the Museum of National History and Archaeology in Constanța, focuses on artifacts and objects found in the culturally diverse province of Dobrogea (Dobruja), a Southeastern region of Romania bordering the Black Sea, whose rich historical texture was woven by Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman influences.
The episode, the sixth and last of the series, deals with the intricate relationship between people and the sea through the fascinating stories of ancient anchors preserved in the permanent collection of the Museum of National History and Archaeology in Constanța.
Text by Cristian Cealera. Video presentation by Andreea Andrei. Film concept by Cristian Cealera and Constantin Țițineanu.
